A tribute to Bishop Chu Chi Zui

Comrades! I pay tribute today to a man who is a giant in the church. Few catholics could say that they were not influenced in some way by the thinking of Bishop Chu Chi Zui of China.
A prominant Canon Lawyer, Bishop Chu worked tirelessly to improve relations between the Chinese Patriotic Catholic Church, and the Vatican, over the course of his 68 years.
Bishop Chu's charismatic way made him highly popular with the Chinese Church. (see picture below)

The bishop's best-selling book, "Confucius, and his impact on the Church in Denmark", was praised by friends and critics alike.

But all of us will simply remember with fondness the man they called "Xipi", which translates to "The Chinese answer to the imperialist running dogs of western theology".

We salute you Bishop Chu Chi Zui!

Many people in chat come to one of the rosaries said in chat....at last count, room 2, 3, and 5 all have a daily rosary. Now considering rosary goes for about 20 minutes, one would think that this is less than a burden on those who do not wish to participate...
After all, the rosary is never in 2 rooms at the same time, and with 5 catholic chat rooms most days, this offers an abundance of choice to those who would rather not attend to the rosary in chat. And these rosaries are not just spontaneous uprisings, they have a scheduled time, which is the same everyday, and have been going for around 2 years. So one wonders why anyone would fuss about it...
I can see some people would prefer not to pray online, they may prefer the meditation by themselves, find it too distracting in a chat room, or many other reasons. All of these are valid reasons. But one wonders why some who do not wish to participate in the rosary would be so vocal against others participating.
Let us remember that the rosary lasts for 20-30 minutes in any given chat room, so its not like pepetual prayer is being said, in fact the inconvienience is a minor one by any standards. And, at any rate, the rosary is scheduled, has popular support, and has a longer tradition in chat than many chatters!
So it hasnt gone unnoticed that the very people that organise or participate in rosary have come under special "attention" in some of the blogs.
The following people have been vilified on the other blogs....peter_ghillini, lonewolf, amy, sagwa, littlejohn, and many others. All of these participants in the rosary. I havent checked thoroughly, but at first glance, the other blogs do not make a direct attack on the rosary. However, they do attack the participants...and with vigour...
The comments are extensive, but most go along the lines of this quote...
"Praying is the next best thing besides the Holy Mass as I'm sure you would all agree, but truly good folks do you really think you are doing yourselves and the good Lord justice by not only praying, but fighting over the leardership of the rosary(lonewolf) once again, in a chat room then immediately after ripping into other chatters in the most vicious manner."(21st April, 2005).

So in the same sentance(but thats another story),A4 manage to say how wonderful it is to pray, and then attack the participants or leaders without backing it up(again).
But most of the swipes at the rosary are along these lines. A thinly veiled attack on the rosary, by attacking its organisers.

As I see it, the rosary is orderly, when people dont come in with the mission of disrupting it. Disrupting public prayer is an abysmal practice, but I dont blame the blogs directly for this. Rather, the blogs, starting with A4, attack the leaders or participants of the rosary, implying they are hypocrits for praying. As St.Paul said, and I am sure all participants in the rosary would agree, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"(Romans).

But to add to the hypocrisy of a4, after spending many of thier blogs attacking the participants in rosary, they actually blaspheme the BVM, by posting the text of the rosary(4/3/05), amidst attacking the rosary by stealth....

Cia,

Seems none of the bashers have the guts to say as to why they dont want rosary / prayers in chat or why they go through all the trouble of attacking the leaders and disrupting prayer! Hmmmmm.....

TO THE A4 GLOBBERS:

Neither I or the rosary gang have professed that we are priests or nuns..we are regular, normal catholic lay people - prayer is an important aspect in our lives - and YES we do joke and have fun, quite unlike you four who sit around and screen shoot people, yet dont have the courage to come forth with your true identities because you are frightened! PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WAS NO DISUCSSION DURING THE ROSARY. We have nothing to hide - you are most welcome to screen shoot us as many times as you want! Prayer will continue....and yes I will continue to pray for you! Peace ...

Most chatters do not pray the rosary in chat. Most chatters do not feel it is respectful to pray the rosary in chat where the atmosphere is anything BUT reverent. That being said, most chatters have agreed to not try to disrupt the rosary by taking over the mic while prayer is being said. That courtesy has been extended for quite some time. However, this neo-Nazi idea that no one may post during the rosary has cause much disturbance. It is a simple matter for those who find posts distracting to ignore the posters. It is not hard to ignore a chatter. Why continue this absurd insistence that no one post, when posts are only visible if you CHOOSE to view them?

I fear this is, like insisting on not taking the rosary to a private room, more attention seeking. Put your egos on hold and let Jesus' words about where and how to pray lead you to the solution.

Public worship has a long tradition in Christianity and throughout the Catholic Church...as for your more absurd claim that people are praying for some sort of self-glorification...that is, in my opinion, nonsense.

Yet you post under 'Anon' and then hold some 'lofty opinion' of yourself...Are you EVER going to come clean anon or will you remain FOREVER in the shadows?
You are FREE to SCREEN SHOOT me anytime in CHAT, but once again you will COME up empty handed..You seem to have a VERY different attitude NOW YOU have been caught....Use your own ID then I may take you seriously as it is YOU have NO credibility!

CIA, do you ALWAYS have your head up your ass? Try coming out for some air. That's no cartoon character I described, that's one in need of exorcism. No chatter does a better imitation of Satan's devotee than the pretentious of sanctity Mariejoyless. If she hasn't exposed you as an enemy yet, don't worry, everyone gets their turn.

POSTED BY CIA

I was reviewing the latest posts on A4 tonight, and came across a curious post.
"I would also like to give a big thank you to the Dirty Laundromat for the awesome story about our blog and in drawing our attention to one more lame attempt to gag not only this blog but others we support."(A4, 18/6/05).
So I decided to investigate the laundrymats blog and see what it was about. I got there and it was the usual drivel.."blah blah, cia is a homosexual...blah blah blah"(note to the reader, I might write a short tome about how much these words effect in a future entry, but in short, they dont)...
So I posted my blogs site in the comments section of the A4, to give clarity to any readers. Afterall, the reference that a4 made did not site the source document, nor did the laundry's post.
It took moments before my comment was deleted by the Administrator of A4.
Now, lets review a few facts....A4 made reference to an article on the laundry, which attacked my blog. Although A4 didnt directly reference my blog, they surely must of read it, otherwise the article on the laundry would not have made sense.
The reason offered by A4 was this...
"A4 said...
cia Im happy for you to make comments.. but not to promote your blog DO YOU UNDERSTAND THIS. that is why your comment was removed, Samantha "

Interesting...doesnt A4 have a link to the other 3 blogs on its very site?
Is this to mean that A4 are claiming sympathy with the other blogs, whereas they see a need to delete blogs who have not joined them in slanderous practices?

More amazing is this....The A4 claim that thier blog seeks to "correct" catholic chatters! Yet when a blog which scrutinises these self appointed correctors is made reference to, the extremely paranoid A4 need to delete it....

So, I thought, this is perhaps an aberration, the ostrich syndrome cant last with mature people, so I posted it again, with a challenge for the A4 to allow the link on the basis of balance...

Yet again the paranoid A4 deleted the link...

It seems that the A4 are a bit thin skinned when it comes to people scrutinising them...but dont take my word for it, look at thier blog, see the deletes!

Blogs lost for words

As you would have guessed, I have been reviewing the other blogs for the purpose of shining a light on thier shortcomings, and bringing to scrutiny the methods, and attitudes they employ.
And so it was with surprise that something dawned on me during my weekly review...The blogs, all of them, have moved away from actually articulating the issues they have with the people they slander, and moved into a new tactic.
When in the past they would verbalise some rant(no need for examples), the newer
offerings from the blogs move into another area. No doubt sick of being quoted and having scrutiny shined upon thier shakey claims, they have increased the use of images. There are many examples of this, but to cite one, leonofalbury has his image copied from his profile, and then with the use of photoshop or another package, his head is distorted and posted on the blog with a comment such as "horrid head". They did a similar thing to my image ages ago on one of the blogs, and put a notice under it that said I was wanted by the FBI for pedophilia. And there are many examples.
Now, plainly this is kids stuff, but it does show something...
The blogs are on the run....they are lost for words, after all, how many times can one apply the same insult to every chatter in chat, without the reader seeing it for what it is....the musings of someone that cant get respect in chat, so creates a forum where they can attack all those who they blame for thier own short-comings.
So, with the use of images, they hope to avoid scrutiny...after all, you cant quote an image, a caricature is just an image, but it does convey an idea or concept in the same way as words do. For instance, an image of leon with a distorted head conveys ridicule on him, but without the blog actually verbalising it.
And the same is true of many others who have had thier images manipulated.
The simple fact is, the blogs are trying to move away from actually making statements, as those statements are scruitinised here and on other forums. Truly cowardly, the bloggers are not only not revealing thier chat IDs, now they are not even making statements!

That reminds me...there is some confusion about how to spell "thier/their"...since I spell it "thier"...plainly this is the right way to spell it, and all dictionaries, chatters, and users of the world should adjust to this spelling as this would be easier than me learning how to spell it "your" way.
